Bookish Gift Guide

IMG_2913It’s the most wonderful time of year… and yet… you have no idea what to get your book obsessed loved one. Fear not! Behold, a bookish gift guide for all your bookish nerdy needs!

1. Reading light

This is a practical necessity for anyone who stays up past their bedtime to read one more chapter… 10 chapters later.

You can purchase a reading light on Amazon by clicking the link below.

Led Clip Reading Light, Raniaco Reading Lamp, USB Rechargeable, Touch Switch Bedside Book Light with Good Eye Protection Brightness

2. Bookmark

IMG_2907This can be a perfect stocking stuffer, or even a meaningful home made craft. No booknerd will turn away a bookmark, and trust me when I say we can never have too many of these.

3. Bookish clothing

Etsy has a vast amount of little shops that sell reasonably priced bookish goodies and clothing.

This shirt was made by FunkyApparelTees

4. Beverages and treats

What goes well with reading? A hot cuppa. Artisan coffee.  A glass of wine. Your book lover will love to curl up with a cup  or glass of greatness and a book. Etsy has a wide range of teas that are inspired by many books. You can even get treats to go with it and make a nice basket that will give your reader an indulgent experience

My favourite Etsy bookish tea shoppe is RiddlesTeaShoppe

5. Books

This is a no brainer, but why not make it more meaningful by buying a special edition or signed copy of a favorite book or even an antique print? What book nerd wouldn’t want that on their shelf?

6. Bookish gifts

Etsy, Etsy, Etsy! There are so many shops that sell jewelry, candles, scarves, ornaments, clothing, mugs, snacks and other gifts that are book themed. Supporting small businesses is also a plus!

One of my favourite scents is Pirates Revenge from Spireside Candles.

7. Book Subscriptions

A book subscription makes for the perfect gift. Each month, your booknerd will receive a book along with bookish goodies that are inspired by the book. It’s a gift that keeps giving every month.

I love getting my Owlcrate subscription every month. It’s great for YA readers!

What’s on your bookish Christmas wishlist? I would love to know!
