Today I received my bookish subscription from OwlCrate! I always look forward to being surprised with a wonderful Young Adult newly released novel along with other wonderful bookish goodies. This month’s theme is Castles, Courts and Kingdoms.
The first bookish goodie that I saw was a Harry Potter inspired winter hat. It is finely made and created by OwlCrate which means it is an exclusive item. You can’t get it anywhere else!
Next is an Elven Bread Soap made specifically for OwlCrate that is inspired by Lord of the Rings. It is made by Fizzy Fairy Apothecary and smells of delicious sweet mint.
My favorite treat in this box is the blackberry mint lip balm inspired by Game of Thrones made by Geek Fire Labs.
The notebook which includes a quote from A Court of Mist and Fury is perfect for writing poems, notes on books, or thoughts. It was made by Stella Bookish Art .
Finally, a beautiful wooden brooch inspired by Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha series is made by Juniper and Ivy Designs. This shop also makes lovely wooden book marks and jewelry.
Each book comes with a signed book plate and note from the author which makes it more special. The book cover is also exclusive! Every box also always comes with a button and OwlCrate magazine that highlights interviews with the author and one of the owners of the shops used to make a bookish goodie. In this edition, the owner of Fizzy Fairy Apothecary is interviewed.
This month’s book is The Glass Spare by Lauren Destefano. It is set in a world where kingdoms are fighting against each other and Wil, a princess, discovers she is cursed with the power to turn anything she touches into gemstone. The story plot is intriguing, and the cover is gorgeous. I can’t wait to snuggle up in my Harry Potter hat and read!
